Fall Is Here! Make Like The Trees, Please...

Updated: Oct 21, 2019

Honestly, I love the fall!

It means two things for me: 1)More Sweatpants. 2)Holiday Food Plates!

Not to mention, the crisp weather and crunchy leave piles! I’m so simple, sometimes. Something about those leaves, man...

Sometimes I find myself feeling bad for the fact that they’re dead! Like at one point in time, they used to be beautiful, bright and vibrant. Helping filter the oxygen and probably making an ideal background for a group picture or your every day selfie. Then I thought about the trees they fall from. A living, breathing organisms whose job is to grow. Relatable, I suppose. That’s the whole purpose of us humans on earth. To live and grow. What happens when we grow? What happens to things we have on us, in us and around us as we go through the process? We have to release of the things that no longer serve purpose to our reaching of the truest potential.

Ok. Let’s get real. We can all relate and it sound easy. Until those same dead leaves are certain friends and environments that you’ve grown to love for seasons and seasons. It’s truly bittersweet when you think about it. Like “Yay! I’m moving up!” but “Damn, I really did have to remove ___________ in order to make room for this blessing." because it’s no way 2 things about occupy the same place at the same time. Yes, you do. Know it’s for the best for and have faith in your future adventures. Espepcially if those things rob you of any positive energy you hold. No, I’m not telling you to stop going to class because the girl that sits next to you is annoying, More so, you removing that one “friend" that somehow always finds their way to tell you why your dreams may not work. OR! That voice in your head telling you that you’ll be okay buying one more purse while your bills are due. Whether these are physical obstacles in life or internal things that you know aren’t allowing to be the best you could possibly be from day to day- Make Like The Trees And Drop The Dead Weight!

No positive purpose? No place for it here!

Besides think about it! Spring is one of the most anticipated times of the year just because we know the planet has made room for bigger and better! Don’t forget the seasons your go through in your life. Don’t forget to let go of what no longer serves you, and make room for the better things to spring forward for you when it’s time. Don’t forget.
